Mocha Girl Place

What inspired you to become an interior stylist/plant-whisperer?

My mother was always the biggest influence in my life when it came to home decor and plants. My color palette in my home is a direct reflection of my childhood home and the way she loved and cared for her plants rubbed off on me (in a good way!)

How would you describe your style?

I like to call myself a MoClectic Bohemian. A bohemian vibe with a modern, eclectic twist.

What does home mean to you?

Home is where you create memories. It is where the things that you love the most reside.

How would you describe your home's personality?

My home is very warm. My decor makes it a space that’s comfortable but also very eclectic and lush.

How do you rest, restore, and reenergize?

I spend a lot of time in my bedroom. I love the feeling of good linen and comfy pillows. I try to get a good night's rest so I can recharge for the next day.

Where are your favorite places to look for home decor?

I’m a thrifter at heart so I always start there. Marketplace is also a friend of mine and then I will venture out to the favorite big brand stores like Target, HomeGoods and Urban Outfitters Home.

What advice can you give to aspiring interior stylists?

Follow your gut. You don’t have to have all of those trendy pieces to have a great looking home. And always, Plants make every space better!
